after i've been saying this for 1-2 yrs, i've finally bought my very own laptop....

throughout my entire life, i've owned 3 computers, for which are all crap....*sad

NOW i've got my first ever decent computer....

My dear Compaq,
We've been by each other's side for past 6yrs.....i dont know how, but we both survived and held on to each other for 6 freaking years!!! you've trained up my patience, optimization and maintenance...thank you....

from now, i'll have to slowly phase you out now....

I shall walk, hopefully, another 5-6 years with my new lappie....

the month of December

.......is the last month of the year! how fast is that? one year has just zoom passed! a year ago this were the last days of me working for AP Automation inside the new office; working hard for that failed-to-deliver project, i could still remember the smell of the office and everything else...it felt like it was just a few weeks ago.

.......is the month where my current Robotic Lab project is finally running with actual samples in it, as of today, i'm feeling really happy and accomplished for where it's sitting at despite the lack of support and lotsa other things not getting done, construction-wise.

.......is the month where holidays are the most but yet at this moment i wish to work as much as possible. i love the feeling when im working hard and focusing on just how to solve work related problems and not my personal problems. its easier that way. that could be why im sleeping much earlier and easier these days?

been staying on site for 2 months or so, and it was really good to see all the colleagues again during the Christmas Party! i thought i would have been forgotten but that wasnt the case. i was actually the hot topic because of my new hair! WTF? lol....and all the rumors about me! hmpf! damn u angela and terry, the culprits! nonetheless it was great time catching up while having buffet and free flow drinks (including wines, beer and other drinks). and gotta thank my partner for being there. i love the prawn.
(P.S. i got lucky drawn for winning a bottle of wine ^^)

.......is the month when a number of friends have left Perth for good. this is never a pleasant feeling. not only friends, but colleagues as well. just when we are starting to bond, they are departing. this feeling is just depressing. at the end of the day, thats life, people come in and out of our life, sometimes we just have to wish them nothing but the best with their future endeavors.

December of 2011...
3-4 more friends are leaving Perth for good,
I've started to lost count on the total number that has left...lets try to recall
benny, weining, pris, jasonpang, hoong, cresta, long, jasmine, janica, amanda, del, chris, meivun, ben, melissa etc and the list just keeps going and adding up...

things will never be the same with the departures of all these important friends,
what would make of us that's been left behind? future looks bleak...

in this month, almost the entire group will be flying off for their holidays...
wish i could leave too....actually at this moment, i would really relish the chance to go to a whole new place and start all over again....

I was really about to push forward hard to the idea of hunting a job in SG....that was really the idea...
life could have been really ideal, even though i hate the humid weather, but i believed you would have make it up for it.

unfortunately....we are this point, your assumption was the 导火线....and also the way how you always retaliate with that 复仇心, it's really driving me mad, so mad to the extent that i snapped and eventually lost control.....all leading to insomnia and skipping work! just don't want to see or talk to anyone whenever i'm feeling crap, that's how i do things, just lock myself in the room, watching dramas, playing videogames to cool my head.....

December is a month that will always be special for me, listening to the song Falling In Love at this time will add the extra emotion on recalling how it was one year ago, remembering all the scenes of me sitting in front of the laptop but not doing any work just keeps texting.....thinking of this will never fail to put a smile on me!

first thing first,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR LITTLE SISTER, JOAN!! I still prefer to call u "meimei"..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU....I will get you a gift when I see u real soon, k? Hopefully you will be able to cope with the new environment which I know will be really tough. try your best anyway!

i've got two BIG projects to be done commissioning in two weeks time! quite a lot of pressure I must say. really feels like just walking away but it's too irresponsible! so yeah hopefully everything goes smoothly. anyway, I'm finally heading into a new stage of my life! i hope it will be a good one and only gets better as time goes by!! and...NEXT target will be to get a house!!

lastly, I'm heading home in 2 weeks time! but this time will be a different home (again) and at a new place (K.K.), not sure if u can say it's new as I originate from there...anyway! it'll be a whole new experience but I'll definitely be missing my Brunei friends and buddies! fortunately, i'm attending one of my best buddies' wedding in Brunei so at least I'll get to see them, and I'm excited for this reunion!

P.S. this is the Cherry season, I've come to really like this season! it's been well....full of surprise giving! hehe..hopefully i'll get to see you soon....(buyaobuxingbukeyi)

Yesterday I was just talking with Kappa about some past basketball experience and he talked about spraining his ankle then...And in this morning before the basketball session, I was watching the classical japanese basketball anime at home, and I was watching the part where the captain of the team rolled his ankle in the most anticipated match of his life. -_-

you rolled your ankle,and I reacted the quickest to carry you and all the way to see the doc...then joined the rest for dinner after...

we all even asked the waiters to take photo for us, using several different cameras, just like always...

my vision changed suddenly, not the Chinese restaurant anymore, just an empty dark little room, with me all by myself....

my emotion just got a steep dive! in a few more hours I'll be welcoming a long day out on-site! and the worst part is......., nevermind!!

wow! it's been almost a month since the last post. it seems like so much has happened during this period. been busy with this and that but Twitter (too convenient) played a big role for not updating myself in Blogger.

have been basketball-ing again! :) For me it's always been a great joy to play basketball! Me and a few friends have joined a university basketball league (dodgy one) that has a game to play every week and so all of us (retirees) have to play more to get back our form. As a result we hung out more and built stronger bonds! GO SPIRITS!!! Let's get into the semi-finals and try to squeeze into the finals!!!

since the last post, it has been non-stop outings due to the arrivals of Siao Hao, Hilda, Mei Hoong and also the returns of Iris, Jasmine. With Siao Hao here, I've played basketball at a more regular basis because he's a basketball freak and he's like a 3-PT machine! We all went frenzy on a Friday or Saturday night with CRAZY karaoke session followed by Metro!!! Was really fun at clubbing!! But it ended with heavy rains and I realized that i lost my precious necklace during the karaoke all because of the ice game :(

Thanks to Siao Hao for treating me to the Friendship Games between Australia teams playing against China Teams and was able to witness the 7 feet 9, Sun Ming Ming in action before my eyes!!!

We also played some pool together (i owned him in that :P). Life like this reminds me of Brunei!! Miss those times when we all will just play basketball in the evening, then play pool at night, like almost everyday? Sounds boring, but good times they are when you have great buddies around!

then we had a 2-weeks break in our tournament due to the Graduation Ceremony! Congratulations to Amanda, Jasmine, Wan Wen, Nicholas, Delicia, Karen, Aye, Denise and Shierly. Too bad I wasn't able to meet all of them. Then there was also the Mid Autumn Festival which we celebrated next to the river, BBQ-ing at night followed by super-random-karaoke session.

gahhh!! i just came to realized how eventful the month of September was....and i got so lazy to list out all of them! so i'll just let the pictures do the talking from here on!!

IP MAN 2

Wanted to catch the Iron Man 2 premier but friend preferred Ip Man 2 instead, and so we went....it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable movie sessions I've ever been to

Ip Man 2 is definitely a must-watch for everyone!!

Fight scenes are awesome.

Actors are actually getting hit for real (I reckon) and also the way they fell on the floor.

The fights are also really quick and crisp.

At some points of the movie, i even felt drowsy, maybe it was due to the fact that the ENTIRE theater was F-U-L-L and so I had to sit in the center of the FIRST ROW!!!!

The big wide screen was just like 10m away from me. Nonetheless, it was really an enjoyable movie that i strongly recommend anyone to watch. It also injected more humors compared to the first movie, so there are quite a lot to chuckle about.

Towards the end of the movie, it was a showdown between Ip Man and the Caucasian boxer on stage. I could feel that everyone (maybe except for some of the Caucasians) in the theater was all anxious on rooting for Ip Man to win the fight for which he was really struggling. It was a fight to avenge his friend and also for standing up against the bullishness of the cocky Caucasians.

After he won it, thunderous claps were heard. It was really a great feeling! Simply awesome!

Lunar New Year is just another 14 hours away. Tonight is usually the time when my mum & grandmothers will be busy preparing the special vegetarian dish and "tang yuan". Then, we the kids will be busy watching all the live countdown shows from Hong Kong.

I envy those who could happily go home to spend this special event with their beloved family. I really do. I just realized it's been three straight years that I have been not able to go home for this event!! I just hope this streak will end here. I must go back next year.

I miss how every morning of the New Year when we will greet our parents "Gong Xi Fa Cai" and they will greet us back with "Gong Xi Fa Cai" as well. (which i find a bit funny, especially with my Dad's expression -_-)

I miss how my family will gather together to visit our closest relatives, driving around the city seeing all the closed shops and how my dad like to drive around housing areas just to look at houses when all of us at the back were bored to the max.

I miss how all of us friends go to each other's house in one day. The scene is actually very grand as there will be at least 5 cars driving together and storming to each other's houses like a race or something.

I can't believe it's been 3 frickin' years....
